Equine Assisted Mindfulness - full day (may also be done as half day option)

Horses are instinctive and intuitive and they willingly engage with us when we are present, mindful, and harmonious. Horses are ‘in the moment’ animals; they don’t care who you are or where you came from to get here. They give us the opportunity to use metaphorical learning by mirroring your body language to show how they feel you are relating to them at that exact moment. We are fortunate to have working with us an Equine Therapist who has studied natural horsemanship methods for 20 years and in that time has recognised the value of how the horses relate to your body language and back to you.

Using Hazel’s own herd, you will experience a variety of ways to enable you to ‘be’ with the horse; simple quiet reflection, observing the horse at liberty, connecting with the horse using a recognised process, working with the horse to navigate a series of obstacles, with the horse wearing no head collar or lead rope. Practicing mindfulness with horses develops and enriches your mindful self-awareness.

We introduce this pioneering approach in a day long workshop in which we incorporate the mindfulness 3 hour taster session during the morning followed by a group luncheon and in the afternoon session we meet at Hazel's farm and meet her herd to practice mindfulness with the horses and do a range of activities to show you the power of being present with horses.

Testimonials

"Our business required some ad hoc occupational health advice and we came across Marie Church CBT following a strong recommendation from another company. Marie and her team guided us through the referral process and our query was dealt with in a prompt, confidential and professional manner. The advice given was very clear and relevant to our manual work environment. I would definitely recommend Marie Church CBT to any business who is looking for occupational health support whether it be on an adhoc or contractual basis. - Armstrong & Son Ltd ."
