Lung Function Test

Lung function tests measure how well your lungs are working and are helpful in finding the cause of breathing problems.

Lung Function Testing

Lung Functions Tests measure how much air you can breathe into your lungs (taking into account your age, height, sex and ethnic origin), how much air you can blow out of your lungs and how fast you can do it. Lung function tests can help diagnose conditions such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lung tissue), and COPD and to check how well treatments, such as asthma medicines, are working.

Industries we currently provide spirometry testing to include but are not limited to:

  • Spray painting
  • Milling
  • Water Treatment
  • Soldering, Welding / Electronic Assembly
  • Sawmills
  • Laboratories

Benefits of Lung Function Testing

Lung Function Tests (Spirometry Tests) are an essential tool in the detection of early damage to lung function from work-related exposure to substances that have the potential to cause serious ill-health.

Screening is carried out by our fully trained and experienced technicians using equipment and methods that comply with current HSE guidelines. Each test takes only about 15 minutes, but can also be incorporated into your full employee health screening assessments if required.
