We are an Occupational Health nursing service led by a Senior Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner. Occupational Health nurses are registered nurses who specialise in caring for the health and wellbeing of people at work. Our organisation exists to ensure that workers are protected in the work they do and to promote their physical, mental and social wellbeing in the workplace and we work with employers to develop safe working policies and procedures. We provide other Occupational Health practitioners such as technicians, doctors and CBT therapists and we work closely with other associates and specialists to provide health solutions in business.
We can assess workplace problems and provide employer advice on fitness to work, rehabilitation and reasonable adjustments. We can provide sickness absence advice on a case by case basis and we can help you train your managers in using occupational health effectively. We also provide psychological services to individuals and businesses in the form of counselling/therapy, training and workshops.
Our Managing Director Marie Church has worked in Occupational Health for over 30 years. She is also a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and specialises in trauma and treating employees with common emotional problems, she also trains employers to understand how to manage common emotional problems like stress and anxiety and depression. Marie is trained as a nurse expert witness and has taken legal Instructions to provide joint reports on disability and employment.
We know how difficult it can be to find occupational health services that truly perform and really deliver the investment your business deserves. We understand the challenges of poor health in the workplace and we realise how hard it is not only to find excellent occupational health you can rely on, but then to manage and harness the specialist contribution you have bought. For this reason we are closely aligning our work to current government strategy which is promoting work as ‘good for health'.
We have a reputation for providing excellent advice to managers on how to rehabilitate workers back into productive work in a timely way when they are sick or injured. Our specialist area is case management; a system of care co-ordination with the goal of helping your workers get better and to return to work in a productive role, in a timely way.
We specialise in being flexible and responsive deploying resources where they are needed. Our highly trained occupational health resources are flexible and our peripatetic model means we can put the emphasis on supply and demand without jeopardising quality.
The staff in our Health and Wellbeing Centre will help you with your referral, book an appointment with one of our professionals and ensure you or your staff get the advice or help needed. Typically for occupational health services you will be able to book a telephone appointment for your employee that will take place within 3 working days and your report will be dispatched within 2 working days following the consultation but we also offer a same day and next day telephone service so you are guaranteed a quick response.
